The number, breed, size, or shape doesn’t matter – you know life would never be the same without these animals that, for some reason, have chosen to love us – honestly, without reservation, and unconditionally.

Even when we grumble about walking them in the rain.
Even when we take them to the vet to be poked and prodded.
Even when when we won’t let them roll in roadkill.

You’ve lived through chewed-up shoes, food that mysteriously goes missing from the countertops, and holes in the backyard where there wasn’t one the day before.

You’re no stranger to shredded couches, a cat-hair wardrobe, and a basket of toys that puts those of a human baby to shame.
